I teach accounting and economics at Rosewood Middle School, St. Louis. I always have a bag of oranges in my drawer.
I've run the art club after school and some of my proudest moments happened there. I paint watercolors of whatever is outside the window.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Mr. Cortez
Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the planetarium, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.
