I taught physics at Bamboo Public School in Bogotá from 2011 to 2024. Most days I taught Grade 6, and I stayed late on Thursdays for anyone who needed it.
Over the years I had 440 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Mr. Cortés
If you were in my Grade 6 class, you probably remember the end-of-term party.
What gifts mean to Mr. Cortés: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.
