Mr. Cordero
Music and agriculture teacher, Mérida
- 🇲🇽 Mérida, Yucatán, Mexico
- Jacaranda Secondary School
- Since 1989
- English, Spanish
For 37 years I have been the music teacher at Jacaranda Secondary School. I teach Year 10 and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
Over the years I've had 1,330 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
More about Mr. Cordero
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Mr. Cordero: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.
