I teach religious studies at Howrah Middle School in Howrah since 1984. Most days I teach the youngest children, and I learn every name in the first week.
Over the years I've had 1,600 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
More about Mr. Chowdhury
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.
