Mr. Chavez
Geography and history teacher, Bakersfield
- 🇺🇸 Bakersfield, California, United States
- Lotus Academy
- Since 1984

I came to teaching late, after working as a shop assistant, and 42 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
I've run the choir after school and some of my proudest moments happened there. I volunteer at the food bank on Saturdays.
More about Mr. Chavez
Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the coast, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.

What gifts mean to Mr. Chavez: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.
