I teach social studies and drama at Feira de Santana High School, Feira de Santana. I keep a jar of spare pencils on my desk. I've run the chess club after school and some of my proudest moments happened there. I paint watercolors of whatever is outside the window. It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.

More about Mr. Cavalcanti

The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.
