Mr. Byaruhanga
French and art teacher, Mombasa
- 🇰🇪 Mombasa, Mombasa, Kenya
- Elmwood Grammar School
- 1996 to 2025
- English, Swahili
For 29 years I was the French teacher at Elmwood Grammar School. I taught mixed-ability classes and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
Outside the classroom I fix old bicycles. Inside it, I always had a bag of oranges in my drawer.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Mr. Byaruhanga
Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the mountains, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.

You taught me French in 2001 at Elmwood Grammar School. I still remember the day we all got the giggles in assembly!
