For 16 years I was the environmental science teacher at Jacaranda Secondary School. I taught mixed-ability classes and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
Outside the classroom I garden badly but happily. Inside it, I learned every name in the first week.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.

What gifts mean to Mr. Belyaev: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.
