I taught English literature at Maple Ridge Secondary School in Narayanganj from 1991 to 2001. Most days I taught Year 7, and I answered every email, even at midnight.
My classroom was always a bit noisy, a bit untidy and usually full of people who came for the biscuits.
More about Mr. Begum
Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the coast, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.

What gifts mean to Mr. Begum: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.
