Mr. Bates
History teacher at Houston Academy, 2014 to 2023
- 🇺🇸 Houston, Texas, United States
- Houston Academy
- 2014 to 2023
- English
For nine years I was the history teacher at Houston Academy. I taught Year 10 and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
I ran the reading group after school and some of my proudest moments happened there. I walk the dog by the river.
More about Mr. Bates
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

You taught me history in 2020 at Houston Academy. I still remember the volcano experiment that got a bit out of hand.
