Mr. Bates
Retired home economics teacher from Starlight Girls' School
- 🇺🇸 Bakersfield, California, United States
- Starlight Girls' School
- 2002 to 2013
- English
Starlight Girls' School was my second home. I taught home economics there from 2002 to 2013, mostly Year 10.
My classroom was always a bit noisy, a bit untidy and usually full of people who came for the biscuits.
I'm proud of everyone I got to work with.
More about Mr. Bates
Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the planetarium, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.

What gifts mean to Mr. Bates: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.

You taught me home economics in 2010 at Starlight Girls' School. I still remember the cold winter when we all kept our coats on.

A small gift is a big thank-you.
