Mr. Barua
Social studies and environmental science teacher, Cox's Bazar
- 🇧🇩 Cox's Bazar, Chattogram, Bangladesh
- Phoenix Primary School
- Since 1980
- English, Bengali, French
I teach social studies at Phoenix Primary School in Cox's Bazar since 1980. Most days I teach Year 9, and my door is open at lunch.
Over the years I've had 1,750 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Mr. Barua
If you were in my Year 9 class, you probably remember the morning the power went out and we had class in the yard.

What gifts mean to Mr. Barua: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.
