For 19 years I was the biology teacher at St. Joseph's Boys' School. I taught Grade 8 and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
Outside the classroom I garden badly but happily. Inside it, I kept a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
