Mr. Barnett
Religious studies and economics teacher, Los Angeles
- 🇺🇸 Los Angeles, California, United States
- Since 2000
- English, French
For 26 years I have been the religious studies teacher at Eastgate Middle School. I teach mixed-ability classes and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
Over the years I've had 1,380 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Mr. Barnett
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Mr. Barnett: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.
