Mr. Barasa
French and mathematics teacher, Nairobi
- 🇰🇪 Nairobi, Nairobi, Kenya
- Since 2001
- English, Swahili
I teach French at Lotus Primary School in Nairobi since 2001. Most days I teach Year 7, and I never raise my voice.
I've coached the school's basketball team for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Mr. Barasa
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Mr. Barasa: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.
