I taught music and environmental science at Gateway Public School, Aurora. I kept a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
I coached the school's basketball team for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.
More about Mr. Avila
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Mr. Avila: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.
