Mr. Aoki
36 years teaching home economics in Tokyo
- 🇯🇵 Tokyo, Tokyo, Japan
- Since 1989
- Japanese
For 37 years I have been the home economics teacher at Elmwood Middle School. I teach the youngest children and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
I've coached the school's volleyball team for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.
I'm still learning every day.
More about Mr. Aoki
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Mr. Aoki: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.
