Mr. Amarasinghe
Special education teacher at Colombo Academy, 1981 to 1998
- 🇱🇰 Colombo, Western, Sri Lanka
- 1981 to 1998
- English, Sinhala
I came to teaching late, after working as a bank clerk, and 17 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
Over the years I had 510 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
More about Mr. Amarasinghe
If you were in my the youngest children class, you probably remember the day the fire alarm went off during the exam.

What gifts mean to Mr. Amarasinghe: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.

You taught me special education in 2014 at Colombo Academy. I still remember the day we all got the giggles in assembly.
