For ten years I have been the special education teacher at San Cristóbal de las Casas Girls' School. I teach Grade 6 and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
I've coached the school's athletics team for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.
I'm still learning every day.

If you were in my Grade 6 class, you probably remember the time the class pet escaped.

What gifts mean to Mr. Álvarez: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.
