Mr. Altun
Home economics and English literature teacher, Istanbul
- 🇹🇷 Istanbul, Istanbul, Türkiye
- Elmwood High School
- Since 1994
- English, Turkish
I came to teaching late, after working as a farmhand, and 32 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
My classroom was always a bit noisy, a bit untidy and usually full of people who came for the biscuits.
More about Mr. Altun
Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the planetarium, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.

What gifts mean to Mr. Altun: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.

You taught me home economics in 2021 at Elmwood High School. I still remember the last day before the summer holidays!
