Mr. Allen
28 years teaching social studies in Brooklyn
- 🇺🇸 Brooklyn, New York, United States
- Elmwood Girls' School
- 2008 to 2023
- English
I came to teaching late, after working as a postal worker, and 15 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
Outside the classroom I paint watercolors of whatever is outside the window. Inside it, I answered every email, even at midnight.
More about Mr. Allen
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

You taught me social studies in 2023 at Elmwood Girls' School. I still remember the snow day nobody expected.
