Mr. Allen
Taught special education at Maple Ridge Girls' School
- 🇺🇸 Oakland, California, United States
- Maple Ridge Girls' School
- 1984 to 2010
- English
I came to teaching late, after working as a waiter, and 26 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
I ran the homework club after school and some of my proudest moments happened there. I'm always reading two books at once.
More about Mr. Allen
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Mr. Allen: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.
