Mr. Alam
Spanish and French teacher, Dhaka
- 🇧🇩 Dhaka, Dhaka, Bangladesh
- Dhaka Middle School
- 1986 to 2008
- English, Bengali
For 22 years I was the Spanish teacher at Dhaka Middle School. I taught mixed-ability classes and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
I ran the robotics club after school and some of my proudest moments happened there. I volunteer at the food bank on Saturdays.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Mr. Alam
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.
What gifts mean to Mr. Alam: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.
