I teach economics and agriculture at Hope Technical College, Jaffna. I write a short note to every student at the end of term.
My classroom was always a bit noisy, a bit untidy and usually full of people who came for the biscuits.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.

What gifts mean to Mr. Abeysekera: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.
