For 31 years I was the social studies teacher at Colombo Middle School. I taught Year 7 and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
I coached the school's quiz team for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.
More about Mr. Abeysekera
Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the planetarium, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.

What gifts mean to Mr. Abeysekera: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.
