Mr. Abate

31 years teaching agriculture in Jimma

🇪🇹 Jimma, Oromia, Ethiopia
Riverside Technical College
Since 2013
English, Amharic

For 13 years I have been the agriculture teacher at Riverside Technical College. I teach Grade 8 and a few brave older students who wanted extra help. My classroom was always a bit noisy, a bit untidy and usually full of people who came for the biscuits. I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.

More about Mr. Abate

The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.
