Mpho A. Tshabalala
Jazz player and teacher in Johannesburg
- 🇿🇦 Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa
- Johannesburg Music School
- 1978 to 1998
- English, Afrikaans
I've played jazz from 1978 to 1998, mostly in pubs, churches, weddings and anywhere else that would have me. These days I also teach.
I teach about 10 students a week. Some of them are better than me now, which is the whole point. I fix old bicycles.
I'm still learning every day.
What gifts mean to Mpho: Any gift will help me keep teaching kids who can't afford lessons.
