Mousumi Shirin Jahan
Painter, potter and teacher at Old Maple Ridge Studio
- 🇧🇩 Khulna, Khulna, Bangladesh
- Old Maple Ridge Studio
- 1980 to 2012
- English, Bengali
I work mostly in digital art, sometimes embroidery. My first show was in 1980 at Old Maple Ridge Studio, and nobody came except my family and one confused dog.
Most of my work is inspired by the people on my bus route. I'm always reading two books at once.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
More about Mousumi
If you've bought a piece of mine, thank you. It's on someone's wall and that still amazes me.
Mediums
What gifts mean to Mousumi: I'd put a gift toward a kiln repair. It's been a long time coming.
