I've been a nurse for 23 years, most of them in midwifery at Madurai Children's Hospital in Madurai. Night shifts taught me patience, and patients taught me everything else.
I try to remember everyone's name. Small things matter when someone is frightened.
More about Mousumi
I still get cards from families years later. They're pinned to my fridge.
