I've coached volleyball at Lethbridge Gateway Boxing Gym since 2007. Most of my players were between 9 and 14, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I learn every name in the first week.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Monique
If you played for me, you probably remember the day the fire alarm went off during the exam.

What gifts mean to Monique: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.

You coached me in 2007. I still hear your voice on the sideline. Greetings from Kumasi.
