For eleven years I was the social studies teacher at Eastgate Middle School. I taught mixed-ability classes and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
Outside the classroom I bake for the whole street at New Year. Inside it, I kept a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
I'm still learning every day.
