Blacksmithing for 19 years in Celaya
- 🇲🇽 Celaya, Guanajuato, Mexico
- 1996 to 2015
- Spanish
I've worked in blacksmithing from 1996 to 2015. I learned from my older brother and passed what I could on to 700 apprentices.
Apprentices come in nervous and leave proud. That's my favorite part. I never rush a conversation.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
More about Mónica
Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.
Crafts and trades
What gifts mean to Mónica: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.

You fixed our roof in 2009 and charged half what others asked. Greetings from Manukau.
