Mona Salma Taha

Master of leatherwork, now teaching apprentices

  • 🇲🇦 Salé, Rabat-Salé-Kénitra, Morocco
  • Salé Repairs
  • Since 1989
  • English, Arabic
I've worked in leatherwork since 1989. I learned from my uncle and passed what I could on to 1,180 apprentices. Apprentices come in nervous and leave proud. That's my favorite part. I like to keep things simple and honest. I'm still learning every day.
What gifts mean to Mona: A gift would go toward tools for apprentices who can't afford their own.
