I've volunteered with Highland Community Kitchen since 1985. I started on a Saturday morning "just to help out" and never left.
I'm not an expert in anything, I just show up. I'm always reading two books at once.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Mona
We run on goodwill and a very old kettle.
What gifts mean to Mona: I'd put a gift toward transport for our volunteers.
