Modupe Ngozika Uzor
Master of baking, now teaching apprentices
- 🇳🇬 Kano, Kano, Nigeria
- Little Pioneer Works
- Since 1983
- English, Hausa
I've worked in baking since 1983. I learned from my grandmother and passed what I could on to 2,280 apprentices.
I can still tell good work from rushed work from across the street. I volunteer at the food bank on Saturdays.
More about Modupe
Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.
What gifts mean to Modupe: A gift would go toward tools for apprentices who can't afford their own.
