Mizanur Kamrul Begum
Master of bicycle repair, now teaching apprentices
- 🇮🇳 Nagpur, Maharashtra, India
- Oakwood Works
- Since 2006
- English, Bengali, French
I've worked in bicycle repair since 2006. I learned from my grandmother and passed what I could on to 380 apprentices.
The best compliment I ever got was a customer who called me back 21 years later for another job.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Mizanur
Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.
Crafts and trades
What gifts mean to Mizanur: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.
