Mitu Tamanna Islam
Professor of mathematics, Manchester University
- 🇬🇧 Manchester, England, United Kingdom
- Manchester University
- Since 1978
- English
My subject is mathematics, and for 48 years I get to share it with undergraduates at Manchester University.
I'm happiest when a student comes to office hours with a question that makes me rethink something I've said for years. I walk the dog by the river.
I'm still learning every day.
What gifts mean to Mitu: Any gift helps me keep buying books for students who can't afford them.
