Mitu Shapla Alam

Self-taught watercolor artist

  • 🇮🇳 Kolkata, West Bengal, India
  • Little Liberty Pottery
  • 1996 to 2013
  • English, Bengali
I work mostly in watercolor, sometimes ceramics. My first show was in 1996 at Little Liberty Pottery, and nobody came except my family and one confused dog. I answer every message, eventually. My studio is always a bit of a mess.

What gifts mean to Mitu: I'd put a gift toward a kiln repair. It's been a long time coming.
