Miss Yilma
Biology teacher at Addis Ababa Girls' School, Since 1980
- 🇪🇹 Addis Ababa, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
- Addis Ababa Girls' School
- Since 1980
- English
I came to teaching late, after working as a night-shift cleaner, and 46 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
I've coached the school's basketball team for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
More about Miss Yilma
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

You taught me biology in 2002 at Addis Ababa Girls' School. I still remember the day we all got the giggles in assembly.
