I came to teaching late, after working as a postal worker, and 35 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
Outside the classroom I volunteer at the food bank on Saturdays. Inside it, I keep a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
