Miss Utomo
Retired music teacher from Jakarta Barat Grammar School
- 🇮🇩 Jakarta Barat, DKI Jakarta, Indonesia
- 1996 to 2024
- English
I came to teaching late, after working as a mechanic, and 28 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
Over the years I had 870 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
I'm still learning every day.
More about Miss Utomo
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Miss Utomo: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.

I was in your teenagers class in 2024. You believed I could do it before I did. Greetings from Savannah.
