Miss Temba
36 years teaching art in Kisumu
- 🇰🇪 Kisumu, Kisumu, Kenya
- Kisumu Secondary School
- 1991 to 2005
- English, Swahili
For 14 years I was the art teacher at Kisumu Secondary School. I taught Year 9 and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
Over the years I had 760 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
More about Miss Temba
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.
What gifts mean to Miss Temba: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.
