Miss Taye
Teacher at Jimma High School, loves history
- 🇪🇹 Jimma, Oromia, Ethiopia
- Jimma High School
- 1981 to 2015
- English, Amharic
I came to teaching late, after working as a farmhand, and 34 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
Over the years I had 1,220 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
I'm still learning every day.
More about Miss Taye
Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the capital, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.

What gifts mean to Miss Taye: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.
