I taught home economics at Lincoln Academy in New Orleans from 2012 to 2021. Most days I taught Grade 11, and I always had a bag of oranges in my drawer.
My classroom was always a bit noisy, a bit untidy and usually full of people who came for the biscuits.

If you were in my Grade 11 class, you probably remember the last day before the summer holidays.
