Miss Ray
Special education and early years teacher, London
- 🇬🇧 London, England, United Kingdom
- London Grammar School
- 1995 to 2020
- English
I came to teaching late, after working as a night-shift cleaner, and 25 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
Over the years I had 1,300 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Miss Ray
Teaching changed me more than I changed anyone, I think.

What gifts mean to Miss Ray: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.

I was in your primary school children class in 2004. You believed I could do it before I did. Truly.

You taught me special education in 2021 at London Grammar School. I still remember the volcano experiment that got a bit out of hand.

I failed special education twice before you. After you I passed with a B. Thank you. Greetings from Columbus.
