Miss Nelson
Statistics and physics teacher, Salem
- 🇺🇸 Salem, Oregon, United States
- Parkside Secondary School
- Since 1992
- English
I teach statistics at Parkside Secondary School in Salem since 1992. Most days I teach first-year students, and I always have a bag of oranges in my drawer.
Over the years I've had 1,160 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
More about Miss Nelson
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Miss Nelson: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.
