I came to teaching late, after working as a farmhand, and 13 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
Over the years I've had 470 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
More about Miss MacNamara
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Miss MacNamara: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.
