I teach special education at Brookfield Secondary School in Bakersfield since 1992. Most days I teach teenagers, and I never raise my voice.
Over the years I've had 1,330 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
