Miss Lestari

Computer science and history teacher, Jakarta Barat

🇮🇩 Jakarta Barat, DKI Jakarta, Indonesia
Kilimanjaro Girls' School
Since 2008
English, Indonesian, Spanish

I teach computer science at Kilimanjaro Girls' School in Jakarta Barat since 2008. Most days I teach the youngest children, and I learn every name in the first week. Outside the classroom I paint watercolors of whatever is outside the window. Inside it, I learn every name in the first week. I'm proud of everyone I got to work with.

More about Miss Lestari

The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Miss Lestari: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.
