Miss Kumi
20 years teaching history in Takoradi
- 🇬🇭 Takoradi, Western, Ghana
- Takoradi Middle School
- 1998 to 2018
- English, Twi
For 20 years I was the history teacher at Takoradi Middle School. I taught Year 9 and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
Outside the classroom I paint watercolors of whatever is outside the window. Inside it, I wrote a short note to every student at the end of term.
More about Miss Kumi
Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the coast, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.

What gifts mean to Miss Kumi: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.

You taught me history in 2024 at Takoradi Middle School. I still remember the cold winter when we all kept our coats on.
